COMMUNITY SUPPORT

SIBLING SERVICES

EIHABilitation in the community recognizes the profound impact of sibling relationships and offers specialized training and habilitation action plans to strengthen these bonds in a unique way. By fostering sibling support, EIHAB encourages siblings to lean on each other for emotional, practical, and social support, enhancing the overall well-being and quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Through tailored plans and training, siblings can develop a deeper understanding, communication skills, and collaborative strategies, creating a supportive network that promotes independence, inclusion, and a sense of belonging within the family and community. We provide these services in NY and NJ.

EIHAB's community services include staff support from professionals skilled in working with and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). These staff members are trained and experienced in providing personalized care, assistance with daily living activities, social integration, and promoting independence. They offer a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment that enhances their overall well-being and quality of life within the community. We provide these services in NY and NJ.

EIHAB's community services emphasize the importance of natural supports in habilitation, allowing individuals to choose their support systems, whether it's a neighbor, cousin, or another trusted individual. EIHAB believes that quality time spent with these natural supports plays a crucial role in enhancing the individual's development and well-being. This approach fosters meaningful relationships, encourages social integration, and promotes a sense of belonging within the community, ultimately enriching the individual's daily experiences and quality of life. We provide these services in NY and NJ.
