EIHAB operates five day habilitation programs serving approximately 300 individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Each program provides behavioral health support services, community outings, recreational activities and pre-vocational training to help program participants meet their goals and live fulfilling, productive lives. Many of our individuals volunteer at local businesses, further enhancing their independence, socialization and daily living skills. We provide safe, reliable transportation to and from each day hab program. EIHAB provides a wide array of services to support families and individuals in New York such as, Family Support Services, Transportation Services, and After-school Programs

Additionally, we operate residences throughout Brooklyn and Queens. Our highly trained staff delivers exceptional care around the clock, meeting the needs of nearly 120 individuals who call EIHAB home. Our outstanding team of direct support professionals, nurses, speech therapists and physical/occupational therapists provide loving assistance and encouragement to help residents excel.


During medical appointments, EIHAB staff are by resident's sides offering support, guidance and advocacy. They also accompany

individuals during a variety of neighborhood outings. In addition, EIHAB operates supportive apartments, enabling high-functioning

residents to live on their own. Direct support professionals provide medication monitoring to keep individuals healthy and on

track with their daily regimens.

  • Day Habilitation

    Our Day Habilitation programs without walls provides individuals with the needed skills to support active involvement within our 

    communities. The activities and services provided reflect the individual's life plan.

  • Residential Services

    Our residential services provide 24-hour exemplary care and person centered planning leading those in need to live fulfilling productive lives. Our homes are family centered, fostering greater independence and community inclusion for the people we serve.

  • Job Readiness Programs

    Job readiness training programs prepare individuals to get, keep and excel at a new job. Basic 

    skills include effective communication, problem solving, and interviewing. Job readiness also help develop good work ethic that facilitate ongoing success.

  • Respite

    Respite care is designed to provide relief for families with those in need. The program offers activities after school, at home or in the community. Services can be provided by a family member, friend or skilled care provider. Families can request day or evening, weekday or weekend respites.

  • Community Habilitation

    Our Community Habilitation program is designed to assist individuals acquire, retain, and improve their self-help skills. The plan is structured to coincide with the life plan. Professional staff members provide the services in the individuals home and also within the community.

For residential services, you must have your care coordinator

apply to OPWDD to appear on the registration list.

For Community Habilitation, Respite, After School (Brooklyn Only), Weekend Respite,

Senior Respite, or Day Habilitation without walls, your care coordinator can contact us directly.
