EIHAB delivers a range of services across Bergen, Middlesex, Monmouth, Burlington, Somerset and Ocean Counties. Our first-rate team is comprised of direct support professionals and clinicians working together to ensure the highest quality care for the individuals we serve.
Established in 2012, EIHAB NJ provides in-home respite to intellectually challenged residents enabling them to live independently in the community. We also operate group homes, each beautifully appointed, offering personalized care and 2:1 supervision to developmentally disabled individuals. Some residences are handicap accessible to accommodate the needs of residents who are physically compromised.
EIHAB strives for increased independence, helping individuals to enhance different skill sets and achieve their goals. Recreational outings are provided regularly, fostering increased socialization and community inclusion.
EIHAB NJ is a proud partner of Project Freedom in Toms River, offering housing, advocacy and other support services to residents with developmental disabilities. Through our shared vision and mission, our dedicated teams work together to help individuals lead bright, fulfilling lives in the community.
Group Home Services
Residential group home services provide a well-structured homelike environment to individuals under the supervision of trained staff. In conjunction with their clinical treatment plans, individuals have the opportunity to utilize educational, vocational, social, recreational, and religious resources available in the community.
Our supervised apartments are available for adults who have achieved the ability to live a more independent lifestyle with minimal staffing support. Our individuals are encouraged to schedule their own appointments, shop for food, create their own menus, bank and budget responsibly, and pursue recreational activities.
Supportive living provides ongoing support to individuals who are capable of living alone in their own apartments. Individuals meet with a service coordinator on a monthly basis to review and develop their service plans, and to ensure that they receive the appropriate support according to their needs. The ultimate goal of the program is to enable participants to live productively in the community without assistance.
In-Home Supports are provided by highly trained professional staff delivering extraordinary care to developmentally disabled individuals in their homes in the event that primary care givers are temporarily unavailable.
Simple meal preparation, food safety, grooming and maintenance skills are among the many daily living skills that individuals learn at EIHAB. Many of our individuals also volunteer at local healthcare facilities, retail establishments, day care centers, and more.
Individuals with developmental disabilities are refereed through the Division of Developmental Disabilities for all services. If you or someone you know are in need of any these services, please contact the DDD case worker or your supervisor for a referral. For more information on the life changing services we provide please contact Ahmed Gamea Vice President, EIHAB New Jersey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
